Tomas is a Material Engineer from the Swiss Institute of Technology (EPFL). During his studies, he encountered the concept of alternative proteins. He directly recognized it could be part of the solution to answer the climate and health challenges we face._**
After an internship at the newly created Planted Foods, he continued exploring his interest at EPFL. After several iterations, he conceived the idea of producing milkfats using yeast, which was the topic of his Master Thesis. He is now working full-time to develop this solution further at his startup Cultivated Biosciences.
