Miranda Zhang

President of UChiEA, Senior @ UChicago

Currently Chicago, formerly HK/UK/SG.

Looking for full-time roles starting June 2022!
✨ I would be a Healer in D&D: I'm enthusiastic to become the best support role possible, and believe in the impact of capacity-building
✨ I am keen to upskill in operations, communications, and policy/politics
✨ Interested in narrative change ➡ Institutional decision-making, Long-termism + Values-shifting, EA community-building
✨ Storyteller, policy wonk, activist scholar - in that order.

Looking for

1. Jobs to apply to!

2. Having more direction and feedback on my current career plans and how I can find my best fit within the EA community.

Ideally, I would gain insight into a longer-term direction and role I can work towards. I would prefer this over advice on my entry-level prospects, which I feel fairly comfortable about, although I do think that it is most pressing for me to receive advice on my entry-level path if I am seriously wrong about its utility.

Especially interested in learning more about:
- EA community-building
- The current importance and neglectedness of comms within EA
- Institutional decision-making/good governance
- Global priorities
- Solving global coordination problems
- Narrative change and messaging
- Reconciling justice + progressive framing w/ the mainstream EA community
