Operations Associate

I finished a BA in Philosophy and Economics in 2020 and am working at the Centre for Effective Altruism as an Operations Associate (Office Manager of Trajan House) since then.

Before that, I was one of the core organisers of the EA group in Bayreuth since 2016, I’ve done an internship at effektiv-spenden.org, where I created the animal welfare profiles, did some remote volunteering for GFI Europe and the CellAg Project of Proveg, co-founded the Cellular Agriculture Society Germany, and a local NGO focussed on Corona relief. In 2019/2020 I did some Germany-wide EA community building (Fellowships etc.).

Offering

I can help with:
- Ops topics (mainly office management)
- Animal Welfare and alternative Proteins (volunteered for GFI Europe, Effektiv-spenden.org and co-founded the Cellular Agriculture Society Germany)
- Leading an EA group (Community Building more generally, did 4 years of organising an EA group including reading groups, fellowships etc.)
- Contact to EAs in Germany
- Mental health, and self-optimization
- Baking Bread and vegan cooking ;)

Looking for

I will finish my BA in September and am still uncertain about the best next steps for my career. I am interested in going towards AI policy/governance in the EU, NGO Management/Ops/PA or EA community building.

- I would love to connect with people who can share their experiences and thoughts about how they acted in a similar situation (with a P&E/Econ degree or something similar to (AI) policy or NGO Management/Ops/PA)

- I want to gain further skills to enter these sectors. Hence, I am looking for internships or entry-level jobs after my BA in the (AI) policy or NGO Management/Ops/PA space - if you have ideas or are looking for someone, I'd be super excited to talk to you :)
