I study early cognitive development, specializing in language acquisition across socio-economic statuses and cultures. As a (social) scientist & EA, I'm interested in the evidence to support positive and ethical action. My work also touches on AI, currently co-supervising a PhD student with colleagues in Facebook/Meta Artificial Intelligence Research.
I'm more than happy to give advice to anyone interested in a career in academia, having taught on this for many years & accompanied many people on that rocky road. And also to those who are hesitating or decided to leave academia, although I have less experience in that.
With my husband & possibly others, we're starting a "fonds de dotation" to facilitate effective giving in France. I'm looking for other people who'd like to be (founding) members and/or who have experience in similar projects
