Planned donations: global poverty
Global poverty donors may be interested in donating to the charities currently recommended by respected evaluator GiveWell: the Against Malaria Foundation, Deworm the World, Schistosomiasis Control Initiative, and GiveDirectly. For more details, see GiveWell's reviews of these organisations.

Explanation: http://effective-altruism.com/ea/5k/where_im_giving_and_why_peter_hurford/
In 2012 I gave over $20,000 (almost 50% of my income), predominantly to AMF. Currently giving less than I'd like because I'm paying off fiancee's college loans and house loan.
I will definitely give 10% to global poverty charities, but hopefully much more than this.
Aiming to scale up
Giving What We Can (My Giving data)
In the short term, many of my donations will be to EA movement building, in particular trying to expand a new GWWC chapter/EA hub (e.g. donations matching schemes, funding giving games, hosting events etc)
